+ Starbucks on Church Street, Greensboro
We don't often stop here because it's just the wrong side of town. Really, the only times we do is if someone's in the hospital or has a doctor's appointment and we've got a long wait.
That was the case on 8/24 when we arrived a few minutes early at the doctors and were told the person we were seeing was going to be running late. Never ones to pass up a cup of coffee, we skipped up the street to the Starbucks on the corner of Church and Cornwallis. I had an awfully upset stomach that morning and had stopped into the Food Lion next door to buy some Pepto-Bismol. The barista just happened to see me about to take a swig of the stuff with a coffee chaser (ugh, yuk! What was I thinking!) She practically hollered at me to wait, and then came running out with a cup of water and a straw. She explained that she'd seen me about to take the medicine and didn't want to leave me stuck without some water to take it with.
How sweet!!
That random act of kindness left me on a high note all day :::smiles::: and even now, almost two weeks later as I type it up, I just feel good thinking about it!
I wish I'd gotten her name so that Starbucks could acknowledge her properly. All I remember is that it was about 8:15 on the morning of 8/24… maybe they can track her down that way and say, "thank you!"
