H&R Block - Randleman and Greensboro (Spring Garden)
Why is it that H&R Block doesn't stand by their tax preparers?
We were recently audited; it was discovered that the situation was WHOLLY due to a mistake by H&R (keystroke error) and H&R refuses to pay up.
We're asking now that they refund our money for that tax preparation… should be interesting. I'll post what they do here.

Our first complaint simply brought about a re-filing to fix the mistake - which was all well and fine and made the tax man happy. But it left us owing said tax-man $ we didn't have. The local office pretended that there was nothing we could do, so I barked up the food chain to the national office and requested that they either pay for the tax bill that they caused, or that they refund our tax prep fee (which BTW covered the amount of the tax bill plus a couple of dollars).
A short time later I got a phone call from the "no-rights-in-the-local-office" lady confirming our address so that she could send the check.
The moral of the story? Pleasantly pursue things when there's opportunity.
