…and by His stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:5)

Kathi Sharpe

I'm a church planter, missionary, freelance writer, web designer, and laid-down lover of Jesus from Level Cross, NC. I'm married with 3 wonderful grown children. We're currently planting a church and planning a missions trip back to Jamaica. I couldn't ask for a better life!

I write about Jesus, the Bible, revival, healing, the power of God, faith, and related topics. I throw in occasional recipes, home-making tips, news and politics items, and all sorts of random things just for fun.

Da Feet

The feet have been doing “better” - as long as I sit on my behind and eat bon-bons all day. Being home isn’t so so bad; I’ve got a stool to use in the kitchen for prolongued tasks, and Ken’s graciously helped with things like taking out the trash and vacuuming.

If I spend any time “on my feet” - especially if I go out somewhere like the grocery store where the floors are concrete - I start to hurt. If I stay there, I REALLY hurt.

It really stinks. :(

I have noted that when I take my vitamins, my feet feel better… when I don’t, they’re worse. I’ve been taking cal/mag/zinc and B vites for a while, but when this started I added D and K - so I assume it’s one of those that’s helping. I’m also eating a lot more iron-rich foods. D and K both seem to be important for bone health.  Doesn’t mean my feet do great; but definitely better.

Went back to the foot doc today. He said I needed cortisone shots in my feet. I didn’t like that one bit, but at this point it’s probably needed just to get the swelling down. HURT! So far it doesn’t seem to have helped BUT my heels have gone numb. Right more than left. Not sure what that means! He wrote me out of work for another week but said that IF the cortisone works it should do so fairly quickly… so here’s hoping!

So afterwards I stopped @ Sbux to get my markout and a 3G+MDCM (triple grande add mocha drizzle caramel macchiato (I call it a macchiyummy) - the barista misunderstood and gave me a couple of pumps of mocha instead. It was surprisingly good with that much mocha, I may start doing that! It’s definitely good! So while I was there, I ran into my DM. Interrupted a meeting, actually, but he said that was ok. He’s going to check in with Della to make sure that what needs to get done paperwork wise gets done.

I miss my Starbucks!
