Happy New Year to you, too :)

So why not start it off right and come out of the coal mine and into the sunshine? :D

I was born one morning when the sun didn't shine,
I picked up my shovel and walked to the mine,
I loaded sixteen tons of number nine coal,
And the straw boss said well bless my soul....

And by the way - I thought it was funny that you'd commented yesterday... you were on my mind all day but I was AFK due to church and some time out for lunch and shopping with our pastor and some dear missionary friends. Else I'd have written you. How are things? :)

None of my cats are dead yet ;)

I think I already answered you -
"Homosexuality is not one of the WORST sins; it’s a sin that Christ died for just like all others."

It's a sin that Christ died for on the cross, paying the full penalty, just like all others.

Luke 7:47 says: "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little." There's a temptation to say a sin is "much" or "little" - but if you were to live an otherwise perfect life but fudge on your taxes by ten cents (which is stealing), you're still a sinner and you'll go to the same hell that a mass murderer goes to... unless you repent and ask Jesus to be the sacrifice in your place.

Sure, as a human, I'd like to believe there's a special place in hell for folks like those who caused 9/11, for baby rapers, for people who abuse the elderly... but I don't think there really is. Hell is hell just like sin is sin. We may feel that some sins are "worse" than others but the truth is that ANY sin separates us from God and unless that separation is resolved we will stay separated forever. I can't imagine anything worse - even the concept of hellfire, to me, is lesser than the thought of being apart from Him.

Jesus said that there's only one unforgiveable sin. I truly believe that sin amounts to going it on your own until it becomes too late - God isn't going to wave a magick wand and make it all go away as you stand before Him. Either He sees you (and your sin) or He sees Jesus. Jesus took the punishment already.
