Paintball anyone?
My son and his friends are all into paintball in a big way. He got involved with it when we attended Calvary Church, and still loves to play. He’s actually gotten me interested in shooting paint bullets at other people for fun.
I like to take the end of February to contemplate next Christmas and B+K’s birthdays. It’s rare that I make any decisions at this point, but I usually make a mental list of things they might like. Then I poke around, online and off, to see what I can find.
My travels took me to a place called Ultimate Paintball, where you can get paintball guns cheap… so cheap, in fact, I was surprised.
Somehow I’d always thought that paintball was an expensive sport. Turns out that I was wrong. Right now you can get a .68 caliber semi-auto Spyder sniper package deal for $169 (and guess what - it qualifies for FREE SHIPPING!). That includes the gun, the hopper (what the paintballs go in), the face mask, and all the bells, whistles, and widgets one needs to get started.
You can also buy boxes of paintball rounds, protective gear, upgrades to the assorted “weapons”, all sorts of widgets and cleaners and such, and even ultra-cool paintball clothing from this site.
It looks like the only thing Ultimate Paintball doesn’t sell is a tree to duck behind when someone fires their paintball gun your direction!
I know that Bobby reads my blog sometimes, so I want to say to him that I’m not promising this for Christmas… but if you look and like we’ll certainly consider it!
