We’re home!
In case anyone was wondering about my week of silence, Ken and I went on a missions trip to Jamaica last week (April 1-8). I didn’t want to post it right on the blog, because you never know who’s going to be reading it. No sense in advertising, “No one home - come right on in and steal from us”… yanno?
So. We flew into Montego Bay last Tuesday and spent the week in the areas between Negril and Ocho Rios. I’ll be posting a day-by-day account of all that happened. Suffice to say four things for now.
#1 - Jesus is LORD over Jamaica!!
#2 - Stay at Dalley’s Variety Store (guest rooms are upstairs), Eat at the Pork Pit, Scotchies, Smoky Joes, and Juici Patty, and call on Errol McBean from JUTA to drive you (trust me, unless you are used to high traffic, insane drivers, and driving on the left, you’ll need a driver!)
#3 - We love the people, the culture, the climate, everything about Jamaica. We may even move there one day!
#4 - There is a REAL Jamaica that tourists don’t get to see. I’ll be writing extensively about the Real Jamaica.
Praise the Lord!
