Revival and Weirdness.
An excerpt from a message I just sent to someone:
I really have a fear for people who think that revival isn’t “real” because it is “weird” to them. How weird was John the Baptist? For that matter, how weird was Jesus… eating with tax collectors and sinners and laying hands on lepers and casting out demons and preaching in the Temple and washing people’s feet (Gosh. What would happen if a prominent minister did those things? Oh! I know! He’d be condemned as a heretic! :::boggles::: )

weird is how bentley doesn’t even crack his Bible, or knows what to do when he does.

How long have you been watching, Joe Joe? And what is it you’re expecting him to do? (I don’t recall a lot of biblical instruction in form and function yanno)
American Christians are FAT. We’ve been fed and fed and fed the Word of God until we’re ready to bust… but it seems that we’ll stretch even more…
We need to get that Word out, alive, living, breathing, the manifest power of God in every situation.
What good does a sermon do, unless the people hearing it are willing to DO, as well? Todd is getting people DOING.
