Todd Bentley ministered in Concord, NC last night…
WOW.
We had pretty much decided to go to the Cabarrus Arena for more ministry under Todd Bentley, but when we mentioned it to friends and they got excited - but wouldn’t have been able to go on their own - that settled it. We were going!
Here’s an account I wrote on another site:
We didn’t see them, but apparently there were protesters there last night with large signs, “Beware of False Prophets”. Probably a good thing I didn’t see ‘em. Given the proximity to where he lives, I’m reasonably sure that Bud would have been among them and I’d have gone and said a few things to him.
We got there early and there was already a good crowd. Sat for a couple hours outside, and ended up being among the first inside because one person in our party is handicapped.
Apparently there was such a crush of people to get inside, they’d only let them indoors in batches, and by the time it was done they estimate 5000 were turned away - no room. It was a PACKED house. They even set up overflow, and people were out in the parkinglot and ON THE HIGHWAY worshiping ANYWAYS even if they didn’t get in. Todd said that there was SIX MILES of traffic jam and well over 2000 cars turned away… but they had their own Holy Ghost party out there (that sorta proves they weren’t there to see Todd don’t it?) We prayed for the folks on the highway, and know that someone who was out in the parkinglot got healed!!
I saw two angels there… one above the stage, and one there on stage after Todd got there. Might’ve been his angel, I don’t know.
The worship was incredible. We were able to get right up front - maybe 6 human rows back. I had a hard time getting into it at first because I didn’t know the songs (until he started to sing Agnus Dei), and there were also two ladies having a social behind me and catching up on each others grandkids. During WORSHIP? Aieeee. I almost turned around and hushed them, but I said, “Lord, focus them on You” and a few secs later they did! I ended up on the floor twice… once just because I wanted to be on my knees worshiping, but the other time was because the GLORY of God was so heavy, I couldn’t stay on my feet. I didn’t want to fall on the people behind me and didn’t really want to test my theory about no catchers needed in a crowded event with a concrete floor. So I got down on my knees and then just about layed down because it was that “heavy heavy weighty weighty” glory that’s been mentioned a few times.
Once we picked ourselves up, Todd shared some of his testimony and gave an altar call. I’m not sure how many got saved but there were quite a few hands raised. I’m hoping and praying… we bumped into a couple from Level Cross when we were outside. Asked where they go to church - they haven’t found one yet. She’s recently saved and he’s unsaved, they came because the docs had found a mass in his throat they think is cancer and he wanted to be healed. I pray he was among the saved, and also that they either come to our church or find another good church to go to!
After that Todd spoke a few verses on healing and miracles started to happen - just like Lakeland but with a Southern twang.
It was AWESOME. We got back home at about 2. Ken’s so exhausted he might take half a day at work and come home to rest. He was actually jumping during worship last night… never seen him do that before!!

My wife and I were also turned away because of the crowd. I noticed many people in line who looked like they had some health issues. It reminded me of the old A.A.Allen Revivals and Oral Roberts healing and miracle services.
Thank God Jesus is still in healing and restoring broken lives and broken bodies.

WOW. I hate that anyone got turned away. I think next time he goes anywhere, he’ll arrange for a MUCH larger venue!!

I can only most guarantee like Lakeland, and like the ministry of David Hogan, that those with physical deformities abnormalities, and disabilities were NOT HEALED, and it’s mostly the “internal” stuff. As far as you “seeing angels”, quite honestly, big deal, scripture rebikes your puffed up imagination, if it was “real” or Todd’s angel, then what you saw by Bentleys testimony was a demon,a nd yes it may “appear” beautiful, but accroding to Bentley this same angel also was associated with Branham, who without pause or reservation preached a doctrine of demons which including the heresy that the doctrine of the Trinity was demonic. Then by what spirit was Branham and Bentley teaching under, he also believed the zodiac was as truthful as scripture…”ncie” huh,a nd Branham thought he was the prophet El;ijah…Hmmm really now. But never mind scripture huh, never mind the enumerated heresies , false visions,a nd other false prophets he surrounds himself with TODAY, the Cain’s Bob Jones, and Patricica King, what seems to matter ONLY in the hyper LAtter Rain crowd, is the sensational, the hyped. Just wondering what would have happened if Todd would have heard from the Spirit this time to kick someone in the face, or “leg drop”. to impart the “spirit”. Probably not a thing, you folks would have probably laughed as someone’s molar went rolling across the floor.

We got there 30 mins before the doors open and by a miracles we got in and on the floor. I heard that he was asked to come back at a later date and be held at the Panthers Staduim {Time Warner Arean} here in Charlotte,NC. He will not be going to small arenas as he stated tonight in God.TV.

I was at the meeting actually protesting the arrival of a false prophet to Concord. The Lord can open the blinded eyes of people that are being deceived by these people. Your anger at people that would protest or offer a differing and valid opinion is very un-Jesus like. Jesus would have reasoned with a person like that. I wish that I would have seen the person with the big protesting sign, because I was at the meeting and praying against Todd Bentley. I would have loved to have joined him. I guess some really nice hyper charismatics chased him off with threats. I am a spirit filled believer. I believe in the gifts of the spirit, and their operation today. But the problems with Todd’s doctrine are outrageous. Please visit http://www.apostasywatch.com. This is a brothers website by the name of Steve Lumbley. Just listen to some of his sermons and what he believes. It really opened my eyes to the truth. Please remember the warning of wolves in sheeps clothing. The wolves are not in the world, they are in the church. Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2Tim 4:2-4. As for the angels=demons nonsense, seeing angels was pretty common in the Bible. There’s no reason we shouldn’t see them today.
Dunno if you’ve read my testimony… but considering that I intimately know a few demons (let your imagination run m’dear)… granted, it’s been 8+ years since I last saw them but trust me… I’d recognize a demon if I saw one.

So I’m unchristlike to say “you’re wrong”… ? How… interesting. The Bible uses a word for such as you, but I won’t levy the charge. You’re God’s problem, not mine and not Todd’s and not the revival.
It seems that some people have nothing better to do. If you’re a Spirit-filled believer, why don’t YOU go out and hold a worldwide revival, seeing people saved, healed, filled and delivered seven days a week in 200+ nations of the world?

There are so many modern day scribes and Pharisees filled with unbelief it is pathetic to say the least. They say just throw the blind man out because we believe this to be blasphemy. It amazes me how people study the bible see the ministry of Jesus and that he told us to go everywhere preach the gospel and these signs shall follow those who believe…….
Jesus could do no mighty miracles there because of their unbelief save he laid his hands on a few sick folk??????
Some people call this extreme religion. What did they say about the apostles who had turn the city upside down and have come hither also. Glory be to Jesus!!!!

I know of three people that were there and they happened to be back stage and heres some good stuff for you all. The lady who was healed of seisures, and slain in the spirit, after she went down the documents from her doctor was laying on the ground and one person picked the five pages of medical miracle up and all five pages were blank. Them man with the feeding tube, well later he went to the back and was told by arena worker he couldn’t go back there and he said yes I can I work for him. Oh and for the note from the Cabarrus County Sheriffs dept declaring people out of cars praising the Lord, yes lines backed up but no note was ever given. People as a Pastor I protect my flock from such evils as this. Go hear his own words of angels, this is new age, why would the Lord want to kick an elder lady in the face. Show me in the Bible where Jesus kick in the face, or did a Hulk Hogan typle leg drop. Why would God want us not to preach about Jesus and Angels for the Super natural. We operate in the Spirit. Please do not be deceived. The spirit of the Lord is alive and well in Cabarrus County, and for the one, there are churches here in Cabarrus County with unity and preaching the word of God. I don’t need someone from Canada to come and tell me about the love of Jesus. I went to revival at a little church in Concord Friday night where there was a true move of God and the Evangelist didn’t kick, do a leg drop to move the people. Oh and I am saying that yes we at Fruit of the Spirit Ministries know the truth, know unity and most of all know the Lord Jesus sorry for miss spelling and had to come back to correct. we most certainly know unity

That’s laughable, Rev. Merry… we were close enough to see that a) the papers weren’t blank, and that b) the dude with the feeding tube went and sat down, and remained at the back for the rest of the service … and I’ve talked to someone who was out there on the highway glorifying God… and the news apparently reported on it (we were a bit busy - but friends we saw yesterday told us all about it).
It’s not new age, pastor… if you think it is, you won’t be able to protect your flock from the real thing.
And BIGGEST OF ALL… why do people from there in Cabarrus County say “There’s no unity among the churches” and “This place needs revival… it’s dead”
I won’t judge whether you know Jesus, Rev. Merry - or whether He knows you - but as for the truth and unity, you sure haven’t demonstrated it here.

Regarding your “revival” at the little church… is it little by design (which if they’re church planting intentionally, it’s perfectly fine to stay small…otherwise, that’s just odious)?
Or (like most churches) did they rest on their laurels a long time ago?
How many unsaved were there? How many of them stayed unsaved? How many healed? How many resurrections from the dead? How many delivered from demons? Are they now in extended meetings, seeing all of this daily? Have they taken it to the streets? How many have been saved/healed/delivered out there? How many nations are they impacting for Christ?

So Kathi you believe then that kicking an elderly lady is okay. The papers did you read them. The people that picked them up did. Oh I guess the Hogan Leg drop is of the Lord also. I truly believe that people who came are looking for something. As for going off, the Spirit of the Lord is alive and well in Cabarrus County without having someone come in to pump it up. I chalenge you now to show me scripture that says Jesus kicked, leg dropped or ran a person down to heal them. Oh by the way, Jesus does the healing not man. As little by design no, big in spirit yes. Unlike some we are fairly new minsitry and we are growing one soul at a time. I choose to do it Gods way as it builds a more firm foundation. Oh for love. Now that on you was good one. Love is again kicking in an elderly ladies face. Love is dropping your leg on someone or love is beating a ladies legs on the floor. Now that is love in your book. Love is preaching Jesus not angels. Tell me what angel can save you. We are to preach Jesus and the Blood not angels. As for unsaved you got me. For saved you got me. But my question is who did the saving, Jesus or Todd Bentley. I heard him say he raises people from the dead. that I thought belong to Jesus to do. God uses people, but God also gets the credit not a man. But I see that you and I will never agree on this and that fine with me, but believe me others will open their eyes to this and in time he will be like the others like him and fade away in the the darkness and then who will be left to pick up the pieces. And if you think the Spirit is not alive in Cabarrus County, then you must not know the Holy Spirit that most of us in Cabarrus know.

Have you ever gone and listen to his videos. I did and how could anyone be laughing so hard when you hear the things that are done. I guess you must watch pro fighters and laugh when they beat on each other. Or do you watch the news and laugh when some one is beaten or raped. This is what I saw on Bentleys video when he discribed the events of kicking, running over and leg dropping. And one thing is right you surely don’t know me and that is my blessing. But I do know Jesus and do know he didn’t use physical abuse and that is what kicking and leg dropping is to heal someone. And lady you don’t know the fine churches and people of this county. the Spirit is alive and well here. And since you don’t know me you don’t the love of Christ in me. But then again, since this is your site and you started it, to glorify who, Jesus or Bentley. Go watch the 32 videos of his, seems like a perfect fit. My Jesus would’t abuse people in the name of healing. My Jesus wouldn’t allow me to take credit for healing others. My Jesus has yet to come to earth again. But according to Bentley he has come in the flesh to talk to him. If that is so then all we are doing is typing words, because we missed the second return of the Lord. And the little church were again tonight I will go watch and hear a true man of God speak, size doesn’t make the revival. Revival is in us. Oh and size, I remember a little sheppard boy named David did a great job on the giant.

Rev. Merry, what did Jesus say to do if you’re offended by something a brother did, or if a brother is in sin?
Why I guess Todd Bentley’s in good shape then, because both on television nightly and in the meetings I’ve attended, that’s precisely what he’s done!
I believe that Jesus told His disciples to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, etc…
If you read the book of Acts carefully, at several points it’s said that men healed. Of course we know that is theological semantics because the Source is the Lord… but Todd’s not saying anything not biblical there…
My Jesus came and talked with me… He came and talked with the Apostle Paul, too, so I would say that Todd and I are in good company.
No, size doesn’t make a revival… but neither does a church building and a speaker.
Last thought… it IS surprising and amazing how many people FROM Cabarrus County were there at the meeting, worshiping and receiving impartation and getting a fresh filling of the Holy Ghost.

I am still waiting on scripture that Jesus kicked, leg dropped or ran someone down. Prove to me that this is of the Lord. I belive in healing. But not the way he says he does it. I know Jesus talks to us , not dening that, but not in the flesh. There are people hungry for the word, how many there found the truth

Rev. Fred, I’m about to ban you for being a troll and commenting thought by thought.
Jesus spit on people… so why not? People were asked to leave the stadium for disruptive behavior and for breaking the very simple rules about photography and outside food. My testimony’s widely available about seeing Jesus. How did the Apostle Paul see Him? (I’ll give you a hint. I’m not talking about Acts 9 or related passages.)
As for Todd receiving constructive criticism from pastors, where it’s given, it’s received. I can attest to that personally.

Rev Fred and Kathi I have been reading both of your blogs and find this very informational, on both sides. I was born and raised in Concord, NC and recently moved to OH due to a job relocation. I was informed of Todd Bentley by my pastor here in OH. I do come home frequently to visit family. My pastor in Concord has also made some statements on the contrary about Todd as well while I was there visiting. I too have prayed for discernment and wisdom in this matter. Being a charismatic christian, I don’t want to miss any good thing the Lord has out there for me. Although my two pastors disagree on the Todd issue I am believing that the Holy Spirit will guide me in the right direction. The Spirit doesn’t cause division among the body it only draws us to Jesus, and revival draws us to repentance. I haven’t been to a “Todd Bentley” meeting, but I have watched a couple of episodes on YouTube and I did find it a bit disturbing. I am only 31 and still consider myself young :-), so the style he used to deliver the message did not resonate with me. I am not overly sceptical about spiritual things, and the Holy Spirit lines up with the spirit within me, confirmation, to assure that I am not lead astray. We are living in the last of the last days. Jesus will return to rapture his church, but not before the “falling away”. Apostasy is growing within our country, not to mention all of the natural disasters that are affecting the millions across our nation. There will be many false prophets in our day that will deceive a multitude of people. Christ and Christ alone. The message I heard today was that “those that humble themselves will be exalted and those that exalt themselves will be humbled.” I am not to judge Todd, but to hold him to his prophesies. That is how to discern between true and false prophets? Right? We will see if they (Todd’s) are true or “false”.

oh the man who had the tube in his side, did you actually see it. A person I know who was there said she heard him say it but never saw it and was four rows back. and the man did go to the back, up the stairs and back around to the stage. Arena workers words. but hey, believe me or not, God does know the truth. and the papers, I met one of the people on stage from Concord, working and the papers fell to the floor and they said were never opened to be seen by anyone and they were five blank sheets of paper. Be not deceived

I AM the guy who was back behind the stage,and the things Rev. Merry are saying IS the truth !!! If you think back to the service Todd NEVER opened the PROOF in those letters NEVER did it had ribbon around it …REMEMBER BUT …WE did and they were BLANK !!! it’s the truth !! and the guy with the tube feed in his side… I myself had to move so he could walk backstage I heard him say he worded for TODD !!!the only REAL thing you seen Thursday night was people looking to worship GOD but you saw a LIAR. TODD is as real as the NEXT WRESTLING MATCH you go see !! all well 90% of the people onstage getting healed were BACK STAGE in a meeting being told what to do ,before the SHOW….I wanted to BELIEVE also but GOD put me BACK STAGE so I could SEE I am sorry you could not be back there with us so you could see so you can BELIEVE in and FIND a real man of god I will PRAY for you tonight for WISDOM and PEACE in your life GOD bless you !!!

I heard Dr Atwood last night again and two people were healed in his service and it was done the old fashion Jesus way, with laying on of hands and it was such a powerful move of the spirit with a powerful message given by him. I can tell you it was powerful. Now he is a true man of God and the Spirit is alive and well in Cabarrus

Donna, not all division is NECESSARILY bad. Agape love tells the truth in love, and the truth in love is that God is moving but a great many will miss it - and Him.

Kathi we will never agree on Bentley but thats what makes this such a good thing. I feel he is scary you don’t. Isn’t america just dandy. I read so many other sites like this and I am not alone. One question for you tho. why does the Asssembly of Gods main people not embrace him.

Why does the AoG not embrace him? Do you have a lot of dealings with them? I do (I was AG for 8 years or so) and I’ve never seen the bigwigs embrace anyone or anything. I’m surprised they’ve even taken notice…

No Kathi, that was two years ago, catch up with the times. I am posting because I don’t feel this is of the Lord. I have some pastor friend from AOG. I still have problems with his ways, and I do believe in the beginning his ways were different, but to much drama in watching his video’s and still wondering why the kicking, and stuff. That is still a problem. Oh and again about school board, you know, that was fun, but it did what it was intended to do. They kept in the papers asking about God so it was good thing, and you really doing some homework to find that out

“Your people”… That’s almost laughable.
Names? Let’s prove they were there, and then they can testify and see if they’re believable or not.
(because, you know, I can prove that I was at Lakeland… but if I was to claim that a big UFO was in the sky feeding energy to Todd Bentley on the stage, half the venom-slingers would believe it… but that wouldn’t make it true. (yes I picked something absurd to illustrate!))

As long as they are up board and not of questionable means. I did do my homework, I listen to about 30 of his videos. And since my people were there and saw what happened back stage. Did you go back stage to see it. They are two very dependable people who saw this. People being told what to do. Some came back and changed cloths and went back again. And the papers the one lady had, did she open them to everyone to see, don’t think so, but we can beat this to death and checking other sites I am not the only one who feels he is in error. We don’t hold fast to preaching on angels as none can save you, but Jesus can. We can beat this to death but you won’t change my thoughts and I pray I do yours.

Rev. Merry, Where is your church? You sound like the kindof preacher that stands for the truth and doesn’t let the world run them down. I have been doing home fellowship due to not trusting any churches to give the truth. One of the things that really bothers me about Todd is his tattos and piercings. I saw a video of todd from a long while ago and he had no tattoos on his neck and arms. I couldn’t really tell if he had the piercings. But he was preaching and he was in the “ministry”. The Bible clearly states for us not to mark our bodies. Leviticus 19:28 – “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.” (KJV)
and
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”
I don’t care if the tattoos are of a religious theme. When I was saved God told me to unburden myself from my old self. I was a punk rocker and I cut my hair and took out my piercings and I have not ever looked back. God calls us to be separate from the world and the world tells us that scarring ourselves is good. Why did Todd mark himself like he did? I know the answer. His god is the god of this world, an angel of light, a deciever and murderer. I think you know who that is.

The egyptians would tattoo or carve symbols and make themselves bald to honor the dead, then the scripture says don’t mark your body. If the body is the temple of the holy spirit then you shouldn’t defile it purposely. As far as Jesus having a tatto, Revelation 19:16 - And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. This doesn’t say that He has a tattoo carved into His leg. I suppose if you really wanted to get a tattoo, get piercings, wear garish clothing, be rich, cheat people, or whatever, you could find a scripture and twist it to fit any theme. Being slain in the spirit, acting drunken, and giggling doesn’t count as repentence. Is he really delivering people from demons….hmmm? You have a smugness that I have noticed in alot of Charismatics and Baptists. I have delivered the message that the Lord has directed me to. I have warned and I can do no more.

Yes Kathi, when you walk in the place the stage was to the right with black back drapes along the stage some of the songs that were sung were, holy holy holy and also freedom reigns and at one point Todd was on his knees singing about choices he was wearing a harly shirt that said harley on the right side of the shirt if you want to ask me about some thing else I will try to respond I will only speak the TRUTH and I AM thinking of calling the media for a full investigation!! OH he also said that NIGHT LINE was gonna talk to him …I have e-mailed them ….and he said they were gonna do a reality show about him too !! I can not sleep at night knowing what I know about him and the lie he is living and having YOU BELIEVE!! All I have to say about the TB sideshow, is I never felt the spirit of the Lord in that arena. Yea, the loud music and people(friends of his)and security(Why so much Security?)I love music and Praising the lord. The tats and his appearance is a great way to get the crowd to except him and his past. God loves everyone but I also saw him signal his staff to get bring people on the stage and get things rolling. Then he went into to crowd with both hands up and of course SECURITY ,his staff pushed people thru the line and no praying or anything! What is that!! All his staff touching people on their head ,like a assembley line. I will pray that TB searches his heart,and asked God for forgiveness. He needs to stop taking advantage of people and giving them false hopes.He really learned to con people while he was in prison. Only GOD CAN HEAL.

I guess with two rows or more reserved for security as he had, he may have kept people away from him until he wanted them. And from what I hear the protesters that came in against him, as told by staff and sheriffs dept were there peacefully and just asked to be kept away from the platform. Others that might have been removed couldn’t have been to bad as never made the news. Of course, the only thing in the paper about him was add paid for by one church. TV and Christian Radio didn’t even mention him. Wonder why not

Even with 20/10 eyesight (which I have) it would be a little difficult to READ a printed page from more than 10 feet away. (Yes, I’m one of those folks that when the eye doctor says, “Read the bottom line”, I read them the copyright notices at the bottom of the eye chart)
The pages were not BLANK as was alleged.
Could they have been a printout of one of TB’s articles, or of “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet”… ? SURE… but that’s not what was alleged.

First of all you should know that Ralph and I are both spirit filled born again believers in Jesus Christ. We are only representing Jesus and none other.
You have been the topic of mine and my husbands conversations for a few days now. You have been on our hearts and we have been praying for your eyes to be opened. We feel very sorrowful for you. I think you may be missing out on a very important moment on your walk with God, with Jesus. You can argue, fuss, complain, and totally disagree with what we are telling you; but are you getting it, is God tugging at your heart. The truth is you’re probably scared to death that all you believed could be a lie or maybe you’re confused.
Well I just wanted to tell you my story. about two years ago my husband started doing research about the charismatic movement, he… by accident, went all the way back to the 1800’s. It is unsure where it started but basically it is a spiritual impartation put on a human being. My husband started questioning his faith and his leaders. He started reading and looking for the truth in Jesus Christ. He found out that basically all of these “healers” have a similar event that happens in their life that gives them powers. All have been given powers by another person of laying on of hands and all have been (even in their christian walk) had a dreadful greedy, lustful and useless private life.
This is where I come in. In my christian walk I have visited many churches. In my walk with I have gone through Cleansing Streams (twice), His high places, and whatever cleansing type of service I could attend. This is why… I have a severe type of depression, I have been depressed most of my life, and Childhood traumas is what has brought this about. I just wanted to be free of my depression, free of my sadness, and free of my past. Well, I sought after these things to be free. In thought I was seeking Jesus. By the churches I was told that as long as I have this I am walking in sin. Or as long as I experienced this I should be having a daily fight with the Devil. And so, I did. My husband started to question his faith because of my struggles. He started to read his bible on the subject and found freedom for himself and started to tell me that he believed that we were following the great deception mentioned in Revelations. Oh my!!!!!!!!!!!! I was furious. In my mind this could not be so. You mean everything I have believed and thought is a lie. This can’t be so. It is so. The deception is another Jesus, a Jesus that will bring about the one world church. This is not the Jesus seated at the right hand of God. God has allowed this false representation to continue because people will not come to Him in truth. Would you give up your church for God? Would you give up Todd Bentley for God? What will you give up for the truth? The bible says to separate yourselves from the wicked and all that they do, and that you would know them by their fruit. God sees all present past and future.
I see all kinds of people that believe in Jesus. Wiccians, pagans, New Agers, Mormons, Jehovah’s, TV preachers, Oprah, Dr Phil and his wife, Catholics, Joel Olsten, Joyce Myers, Todd Bentley, some movie stars, YOU, and I. are we all serving the same Jesus, Kathi, or is something strange going on. Are all of these people going to heaven? Do you really think they will be saved? Or is this a set up for the end times for the one world church? It has to come about some how. The bible says that only a remnant will meet Jesus in the sky. But many will be up under heavens door who died for the name of Jesus in the end times, those who were martyrs.
Nothing is coincidental, God has pulled you out of the many for you to truly know him better. It is now your choice .
I love Jesus, I always have. I was very angry and upset that I had been decieved by the deciever. But I had to come to a point of repentance. Do I still get depressed…yes. does that mean I am a horrible person, no just human. There is only one super hero. Does that mean that God could heal me? Of course but it is not my choice its His. I can do nothing. God can do all things. Do I finally have a since of freedom? YES. Paul stated many times he was made strong because of his struggles. Jesus was beaten for us. I am grateful to suffer, not for just the name of Jesus but for him. I am (Sometimes) glad to have suffered to be a better person. I hope you recieve this well. May God open your eyes and your heart in Jesus name….Amen

Olga, I used to be a witch (been saved since July 2000). I know more about occult religions than most folks - some firsthand and some through research.
Am I a prophet? Not in the sense that most people have of the word. Certainly not the office of prophet - but the Bible says that all can and should prophesy. I see visions and dream dreams, and sometimes I actually “hear” from the Lord in an auditory sense.
Can a prophet of God get it wrong? Several have… perhaps you should dig into the Word a bit more instead of following man’s teachings on it. Am I wrong about this? I don’t think so… nor have those that I have submitted it to for consideration and judging.
If you think you can rebuke the Holy Spirit, go for it. That’s the only Spirit in me

James 5:14-15 Is any sick amoung your?let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him wiht oil in the maner of the Lord. and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Now I looked in my concordence and I can’t find anything about kicking, chocking or running over anyone to get them healed. I remember the woman with the issue of blood said if I could but touch the hem of his garment, not if he would just kick me I shall be healed. So if you believe this, Great things will you do in my name. If I am Christ like then I do it like Christ did.

Wow — I’m perplexed and saddened by all the vitriol and venom I have read on the Internet over the past few weeks about the Lakeland Revival, specifically Todd Bentley, and other ministers who dare associate themselves with him. One blogger has made it her personal crusade and almost everyday for the past two months has posted something discrediting Todd, Lakeland, or anything associated with it. She has even “taken apart” testimonies by people who say God healed them!!
Kathi, I read your post on the vision God gave you and I’m not sure you are aware of this or not, but it lines up with the “Christian Civil War” that many prophetic voices have already spoken about and posted on the Internet.
I don’t get all the hate, the digging up of Todd’s past, the “throwing of stones”, the self-proclaimed “God told me this is not of Him” — sometimes I wonder — are we serving the same God?
I also find it amazing that people come to your blog hoping to “correct” you when I am pretty sure they don’t even know you personally and therefore don’t really have the authority to “correct” you.
This “Information Age” that we live in is awesome, but it has some serious drawbacks to it. One of the biggest eyesores being that people can post or say anything about anyone they want in the form or writing, audio, video or a combination of all three with basically no one to answer to.
I for one have been tremendously blessed by what is happening in Lakeland and believe the Lord is pouring out His love on His people. If what Rev. Merry says turns out to be true, sure many people will be hurt — but God is still God, He is still on His throne, still saves delivers, and heals and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God will be preached in demonstration and power — God’s power.

Bentley said even though HE was here in Concord, they in Lakeland knew it and they would still be gathering in Lakeland. On a technical term - following a man is not an “occult” (it is, however, terrible grammar), though it might be a “cult”.
And on a more technical note, how come Paul says several times in the Epistles that people should follow him, imitate him, etc. he wasn’t talking about people following Jesus (exclusively), he was talking about people following a man - himself - because said man had a profound relationship with the Lord.
I’m betting that question gets ignored like my other Bible questions tend to.

Oh the word says to have fellowship with one another. Spelling wasn’t my best subject. I will check on the Paul thing, but following ones example is different than following a man. I may set a great example for one to follow as in aim the rifle this way and you would do better. I would hate to see one imitate another. could see a bunch of curley larry and moes running loose in the country. I believe we must be careful on what Paul meant here. It would be meaningful to follow his examples and his closeness to Christ. In I Corinthians 11:1, he repeats, “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ Definition: 1 : to follow as a pattern, model, or example
2 : to be or appear like : resemble
3 : to produce a copy of : reproduce
In others word be Christ like.

BTW Rev, I was just pondering what you said there. Of course we won’t agree on Todd Bentley. We can’t even agree on Jesus. If Christ’s nature is to make you venomously attack a brother and a move of God, that’s sure not the Jesus I know.

I would love for the person from Cabarrus Arena who told the man he couldn’t go back to the stage area and was told that he the man worked for Todd to come forward then maybe the truth would come out. I believe my two members as they have no reason to lie. What would they have to gain by it. So until something else breaks on this, no sense posting anything else.

Rev, maybe you should go back through your posts and see the level of venom that’s there.
What would they have to gain by it? An awful lot of attention. (and quite a few people are raking in the BIG money by spewing like they are… not going to say they’re doing that, but plenty are!)

I just talked to the local paper here in Concord and this was never put in and Rickey the editor for faith and value section of the paper has never heard of Todd Bentley. Kind of hard to print something you know nothing about. Also one site says 2000 cars turned away this site says 3000 turned away. Oh rickey is going to research to find out why it didn’t make it.

Kathi ther is nothing to tell you about back stage there was nothing to see really just the back of the drapes but before the show it was a buzz with people that you saw later on stage most of them were the one’s who got HEALED !! and just wanted to let you know I am not going to go on anymore about this FAKE man of GOD I can see you have a very closed mind about this I have told the truth so help me GOD and one day soon the truth will come out and you Kathi will think of the things that I have told you and see that I have been honest with you and maybe then you will get right with GOD and lead your kids in the right direction and not follow a man who is looking you in the eyes and telling you a lie god bless you Kathi I will keep you in my prayers

I was at the arena also. I didnt go backstage but there was a restroom on the left side balcony where you could see backstage, it was just a few drapes hanging up anyone could see it from the restroom . I just came across your blog, I am appauled at Rev Merry, Who is he, how many go to his church, how many have been healed at his church? How many has he brought to the Lord in the last year??
I didn’t just go the the meeting on Thursday night but the freshfire team was there friday and saturday also. There were many healed at those meetings also. These were local people, cysts removed, hernia healed, deaf ears opened.
It seems that this rev merry is more focused on Todd then on God. If my Father God wants to use Todd Bentley or anyone else who are you to critize, You are not critizing Todd, but God himself, because Todd is a child of the living God. The Lord God himself rebuke you.

One thing, before you answer back, read the post all the way. Two people were back stage working it and it was from them that I heard about things from back stage. And go read all post on Bentley and look at all the videos on him with his own words. I am not going into it anymore. You believe what you want and I will believe what I know in the Spirit. As for size of my church, we are small by design as we are not yet 2 years old. Save by me not a soul. Healed by me not one person. All have been brought to the Lord by the Holy Spirit, all have been healed by the Holy Spirit. Over the past 31 years of ministry I would say I have through the Spirit lead hundreds to the Lord, and Healing close to the same. But I don’t dwell on yesterday, cause what I did for the Lord yesterday doesn’t mean a thing, its what I am going to do today that counts. You believe what you want, thats what its about. I came across this as I was looking last night. I haven’t posted anything do to the fact from my last one as God will handle all things from here out, I don’t need to worry. Most people I know here in the area know the truth. I even contacted all the papers to find out about what was said in Florida on the day after Todd was here and what he told the crowd, but none of the papers gave a front page account of the event at the arena. I respect Kathi enough to leave it there.
