Hey Jude…there’s God-mockers running around here

So I just took a nice hot bath - my mid-afternoon, house is all cleaned sort of treat. I generally spend bathtub time praying and reading the Word, and today was no exception. I spent some time thanking God for working out a particularly thorny problem with Kayti’s financial aid, and also talked to Him about Olga and the things she’s said. Then I worked my way through the end of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians.

I’m actually doing a GREAT “Read the Bible in 90 Days” plan. It’s taken me more than 90 days, but it’s been good to keep me on track. The downfall to reading the Bible quickly is that there’s so much I’d like to really dig into. After I’m done I plan to go back through and pick out some spots that I want to research and spend time with. Then I’ll probably go back and do it again!

But I digress.

I was mid-way through Philippians when the Lord spoke to me, “I want you to read Jude.” OK, Lord. So I did.

Jude is just a little short book - an easy two minute read, really. Generally when the Lord tells me, “Go and read something”, it quickly becomes evident what He’s sent me there to glean. (the whole book is really applicable, but these few verses really stood out from the page:)

These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.

But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:

how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.

These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

    Dear Kathi,
I am so grateful you found these scriptures, this is what we all are trying to tell you. This is what Todd Bently Does, just as the scriptures in Jude stated. I am glad your finally getting what all the fuss is about.
Who is causing the division Me or Todd. I have no reason to gain peoples advantage. But Todd would have many. I know you are part of the flock, but your being lead astray. I am thankful that you found Christ but you are dealing with leven when dealing with Todd Bentely and others like him.

    God Bless

Olga, I don’t for a minute believe that you are stupid, so I’m going to take what you said as such and be very, very direct here:

You (and others like you) are complaining, grumbling, causing division, and mocking a move of God.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked: You WILL reap what you are sowing by word and deed.

  3. Caitlin Says:

    Kathi.

This whole thing is not of God it is of man and it is about meeting human wants not human needs.

Step back and go to that quite place and spend time with Him and re-read Jude.

  4. Kathi Says:

    Caitlin… it’s been a while. Hope all’s well with y’all :)

    When were you in Lakeland?

(and since when are healing, deliverance, repentance, and glorifying God not human needs? let alone biblical commands)

  5. Olga Says:

    Dear Kathi,
I would like to hear your story. I would like to hear what brought you to Christ.
    God Bless
    Olga

  6. JunglesWife Says:

Oh my! I left Lakeland more hungry for God than I have ever been in my life. And I was very hungry before I went. My time in the Word and in prayer and in worship have increased dramatically. If this revival was not of God, would any of those things be the case?

  7. Caitlin Says:

    Kathi,

Step back ; go to that quiet place with God and re- read Jude.

  8. Kathi Says:

Caitlin, I’ve been to the quiet place with God a lot more than ever before in my life… He doesn’t say anything, not one thing, that would make the heresy hunters happy. And you ignored my question hon…

Olga, I’ll start working on a post about my testimony… if they still have it up over @ ExWitch, it’ll save me a lot of typing… keep checking back for it, it’ll be in a new post.
