…and by His stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:5)

Kathi Sharpe

I'm a church planter, missionary, freelance writer, web designer, and laid-down lover of Jesus from Level Cross, NC. I'm married with 3 wonderful grown children. We're currently planting a church and planning a missions trip back to Jamaica. I couldn't ask for a better life!

I write about Jesus, the Bible, revival, healing, the power of God, faith, and related topics. I throw in occasional recipes, home-making tips, news and politics items, and all sorts of random things just for fun.

Just called the doc - update on RMSF

No labs back yet. Apparently they take weeks. But a couple people have told me that I shouldn’t be getting more rash (that’s why it’s called “spotted” fever) once I started the antibiotics. Today is day 4 on them and my feet look like they’ve got measles, and i have a few spots on my face and hands too. And the pain is incredible still. Found out the hard way I’m allergic to darvocet. So Doc is calling me in a scrip for Tylenol 3 instead.

Urgh.

So I’m curled up in bed with some hot coffee and my laptop. I have a long email to answer, and have to work on the biz website today too. Somewhere in the middle of it I’ll take a long HOT bath because that’s the only place I feel less painful. The other day I ran the HW tank dry about four times, keeping that tub hot.

So this serves as a warning to everyone who might read anything I write - codeine tends to make me blunter and, ironically, more prone to be wordy.

So sorry to hear you in pain

  2. JunglesWife Says:

I pray you will be well very SOON.

  3. Ron Larson Says:

Well, having heard that you tend to be more wordy and blunt, I will refrrain from causing you to “stumble in your weakness, and actually try and “be nice”. Loritab has a tendency even as it’s trying to knock me out make me more verbal. And beleive it or not, I have been “chemical free” and pain free for about 90 days. Take care and enjoy His presence as you wait upon Him.

  4. Sam Says:

Oh boy! Sorry you are going through the pain. Praying for quick relief.

  5. Rev Frederick G Merry Says:

Kathi, have your husband by you a hot tub then you will save money and be able to enjoy the relaxation and the heat.

  6. Nicole H Says:

    Kathi,

I am so sorry to hear that you are ill. I will be saying a prayer for you that this will come to pass quickly!
