Have we become so pampered?

A FoxNews headline in my reader grabbed my attention:
New York Parents Say Hot Playgrounds Burning Kids
New York City parents are complaining that their children’s feet are getting burned by blistering hot playground equipment.
Um. Yeah. So when we were kids and it was too hot and the metal slide would burn our hands and butts and the rubber stuff underneath would blister our feet, guess what we did? Went to the pool. Or stayed inside.
What do people expect? Air conditioned playgrounds?

Now we must pamper them forsure. Its hot outside and we need to keep the children outside so the parents can be cool inside and do their thing without the children around. And to the pool, then the parents would have to go with some of them , and be in the heat
