Ten random thoughts
One last post and then I’m off for a bit.
1. I’m so glad I did the OAMC thing… dinner tonight is ready to nuke, and all it took was walking to the freezer and opening the door.
2. Lucy (our big dog) does not like being on a chain. She absolutely refuses to potty unless we put her on a leash and walk her!! But my low back hurts badly enough that doing so is not a good idea.
3. I need to find an embroidery hoop. I bought some mylar (I think that’s what it’s called) today to make a glory hoop or tabret (haven’t decided yet). (click here for a pic and some info)
4. It’s very cold here in NC right now, and I’m not liking it one bit! Wish we were in Jamaica!
5. Asheboro, NC just opened its first liquor store.
6. The PA I’ve been seeing is not taking new patients. Ken fired his doctor (for good cause) and I wanted him to see her. Now we’re both going to go see an internal med doc across town and see if we like her. With the exception of specialists like Dr. Koman (my ortho - the best orthopedic/hand doc on the east coast!) we like to see the same doc and go together. Saves on gas to get to appointments and we can tell each others secrets to the doctor
7. The battery life on a RAZR phone is like five minutes. I love my phone. I hate the battery.
8. I really want a chocolate brownie with whipped cream right now. Sighs.
9. Drove through the neighborhood DaySpring’s in. I’d walked part of it but I took in the broader neighborhood today. Parts are nice and parts are not. Reminds me of Talley Street (where we used to live in Greensboro) but with smaller yards. It’s a HUGE neighborhood, mostly single-family homes in the immediate few blocks, and apartments several blocks away. I was trying to visualize how that zip code has well over 4000 people per square mile. Having driven through I think that may be a conservative estimate.
10. We’re technically not “church planters” any more. Not sure what to call ourselves. “JOAT” comes to mind (Jack of All Trades). Suggestions? “Grand Panjandrum of Pandemonium” probably won’t go over too well.
Well, I’m off for a bit! Blessings…
