You can collude with the enemy all you want to. I’ll warn you once, twice, even three times – but if your intent is to continue colluding with the enemy, to lie and manipulate your way to the top – I’m out.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. Revelation 21:3
The Man who was the baby in the manger wants to be full-grown in your heart … will you make room in your Inn?
Kay & Ken
Today is Christmas for the Sharpe clan – the presence of the Lord is already filling our home … the tree will be lit and there are presents everywhere … the house will be filled with children and grandbabies and great-grandmothers … Ken will be cooking the meal of all meals … wrapping paper will be balled up and thrown everywhere … hot chocolate and strong coffee will be in order … bliss has invaded!! Merry Christmas, everyone!
The internet is all ablaze because Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty had some things to say about homosexuality.
The funniest thing about it is that we heard it happened while Ken and I were dressed up as Phil and Miss Kay for a party. Aren’t we cute? (And isn’t it awesome that I can finally say, “I’m too skinny to be a good Miss Kay!“…?)
This may come as a surprise to newer friends, so brace yourselves – I come out of the gay community. I practiced bisexuality for most of my adult life. I was an activist, and very outspoken for “gay rights”. One of the funniest memories I have of those days is going to a gay pride parade where we arrived late, plus I’m pretty sure unloading my wheelchair slowed somebody down, and we ended up being the caboose of the parade. So the whole group of us went down the street hollering at full volume, “We’re HERE! We’re QUEER! We’re bringing up the REAR!” (which all the queerboys found to be so very funny…)
Then something happened in my life … or maybe I should say, “Someone happened.” I met Jesus – through a series of miracles – and was saved in July of 2000, sitting in my office in downtown Greensboro.
The really interesting thing about me meeting Jesus is that I immediately realized some things on a very, very deep level. Some of them were understood so deeply, I didn’t really think about it at the time. One of those things was that I did not have to be bisexual any longer … it was a choice I’d made, and it wasn’t something I had to do. This became evident when we went to the beach a couple of days later and my head didn’t turn for any pretty girls on the beach. Usually a bikini walking by had me staring or flirting… but it was like I’d never done that. The attraction was completely gone.
A couple of years later, it briefly came back – and I immediately discerned it as a test similar to what Jesus endured after fasting 40 days. satan offered me pleasure (something I already had), love (something I already had), more fun (something I already had), and rebellion (something I surely didn’t need). Once I refused him in all those things, those feelings went away and haven’t returned. My husband and I are very happy and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
So on to Phil Robertson — A&E needs a major wake-up call. They hired a bunch of Christians to do a show. They knew these guys believe what the Bible says, and that they’re very committed to Jesus. So when Phil is asked his opinion on something in an interview, and he states what the Bible says (as only Phil can do), why is A&E going to balk?
Oh yes – because the liberal/homosexual tolerance agenda must utterly destroy anything and anyone in its path. It is one of the the most intolerant forces on earth (doctrinally more intolerant than radical Islam, though admittedly not as violent at this point). They simply must, in the name of tolerance, destroy anyone and anything they do not like.
Quite a few people have suggested boycotting A&E. I’ve said what I think of boycotts in the past, so I won’t belabor the point. I have what I believe is a better suggestion – let’s tell A&E’s advertisers what we think. Write letters to companies that advertise – not just on DD but on any show – be gentle and gracious, don’t threaten to ditch their products (bless those that curse you, pray for them that spitefully use you)… but do tell them that you support biblical marriage and stand against the homosexual agenda, and invite them to take a stand with you, with Phil Robertson, and with America.
I should note – this isn’t about individual gay folks. I love ’em. Many are my friends. Yes, I do want to see them delivered and set free by Jesus. No doubt about that. But this post isn’t really about them – most gayfolks are just folks, wanting to live their lives in peace. This is about the gay and liberal agenda – a very real force in America – one which I’m going to be exposing soon in an upcoming post about their roots that I think will take you by surprise.
So – Phil and Miss Kay, and the rest of the Robertson/Duck Dynasty family – “Phil” and “Miss Kay” in NC salute you and stand with you in the fight for freedom. We love you guys!
Take the time today to build up the people around you. Give your love and encouragement freely. Offer a smile, a hug, a pleasant word. Tell them the truth about themselves. Remind them of how God sees them, and that you see them that way, too.
