A YouTube audio clip of a state lawmaker’s screed against homosexuality, which she called a bigger threat than terrorism, has outraged gay activists and brought death threats rolling in.

That sound bite is from a FoxNews.com article about a politician who says that since cultures which have embraced homosexuality have come tumbling down shortly after, homosexuality is a bigger threat than terrorism.

The gay community, of course, screeching that they’re not terrorists and that they’re not dangerous.

Sort of like the Muslims screaming and hollering that they’re a peaceful religion and that’s WHY they need to behead anyone who insults Mohammed or allah*.

The death threats are just good-will gestures, apparently.

* I capitalize the name of Mohammed because he was a real person – just like I might capitalize the name of Joe or Judy. I do not, however, capitalize the name of something that pretends to be a god.

Here’s a story for you… doctors said that a baby would be born with an extremely rare disease – he would be blind, deaf, and only live a few hours. They were positive about this.

The parents refused (smart parents!).

The baby was born perfectly healthy and is learning to talk now.

Hmmm. Stories like this make me wonder the same thing as the mom’s wondering. How many HEALTHY babies are aborted due to medical error like this? (and some extremely small but cynical voice in my mind ponders whether or not there’s a grand conspiracy behind it…)

How about you? Just take this quiz:

62%

Blog Quizzes at StructuredSettlement-Quotes.com

Seriously, Fox News had a blurb on Fox & Friends this morning, that a lot more people are living to be 100!! I only heard bits of what they were talking about, but apparently the possibility of living a century is on the rise – most likely due to medical advancements, healthy diets, clean water, and so on. This quiz takes you through a few questions (it’s less than a minute to do) and asks questions about things like addiction, exercise, and family history. It’s completely anonymous, so answer truthfully! I know I had points taken off because I used to smoke and have a family history of illness… but 62% isn’t bad (and I bet it would be higher, if I’d get out of this chair, off the computer, and start exercising! Tomorrow… tomorrow…)

I’m off!

Not to see the wizard, no…

I’ve got to pay on the Duke Power bill <snark>

Got to pick up stuff @ the drugstore <snark>

Got to stop @ the bank <yay>

Got to go grocery shopping <snark>

Why am I so snarky? Because the sneaky democrats are keeping back $1200 or so dollars from me because they can’t get their way. Why not pass the bill, and then come back with a new bill to get what they want? (Actually, I don’t object to what they want for a change… but… there’s no reason whatsoever to punish everyone over it!!)

$1200 may not be a lot of money to Nancy Pelosi.

I’m convinced that anyone who works as a politician should be forced to live at minimum wage… the absolute cap on what they can earn while in office. I wouldn’t object to them getting a lump-sum payment when they’re through, at the rate they’re currently being paid, so long as they’re not allowed to borrow from it while still in office.

Can you tell I’m grumpy??
