God is love (1 John 4:8, 16)

So what does love look like?

Love is patient…kind… not jealous
love does not brag and is not arrogant
Love does not act unbecomingly
it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails

So tell me – how does “love does not take into account a wrong suffered” square with any ideas you may have about a vengeful god who sends hurricanes and shooters and sickness and disease as a form of judgment upon sinners (and His people, and babies and children)…?
